It is a fascinating study in the mystery of love and God in daily life of a man searching for enlightenment. The writings are wonderful,and my eyes were opened in a way I did not expect. His poetry allows my soul to soar, and I look forward to studying more poetry.

I love Ladinksy's translations of Hafiz; he captures the "divine manic -depressive" (my words) we call Hafiz. While scholars may howl, Hafiz's mischievous spirit is here; I laugh and cry when I read the poems.

This book is food for your soul, as with all Hafiz has written...and Rumi too 😏 Especially good for anyone in need of a smile, or comfort in hard times.

I absolutely love this book! It seems to be translated so beautifully, and the poems that were chosen for this book are fabulous. I read one poem before I go to bed each night and it is a great way to end my day.

Despite having read spiritually oriented books and poetry all my life, each one of these poems is especially beautiful and refreshing with a perspective or vision I hadn't expected. It was like there was a delightful, "heartful" surprise awaiting me with each poem. While I could barely wait to get to the next one, I wanted to savor each poem and enjoy its beauty, allowing it to resonate in my mind and heart.I am already recommending this book to everyone, and now gifting it to others.

This was my formal introduction to Hafiz. Enjoyed reading it because the translation is not literal so it brings out the beauty of the poems.

She lives in Normal, Illinois.Robert J. Barcelona, PhD, is an assistant professor in the department of parks, recreation, and tourism management at Clemson University and teaches courses in the youth development leadership program.Barcelona received his doctorate from Indiana University after working professionally in the field of campus recreation, specifically in intramural sports and sport club administration. I've listened to Mr. Levin on the radio for years. He is so passionate and sincere in his beliefs on the radio, while ranting and raving, and yelling that I often wonder how he makes it through his show each night without having a heart attack or stroke. He sounds angry and bitter and upset......and he should.....he sees the country he loves going down the toilet and comments about it. One night he was talking about the things he has done in his life and he mentioned the books he wrote. This was one of the books he mentioned. I never heard of it before, and it was odd compared to the other books he had written. Being a dog lover and having a dog and being a fan of Mark's, I had to read it. When it came I couldn't put it down. My eyes were tearing up almost all the way through the book. I could relate to many, many of the things he wrote about. Many of the things he described my family and I experienced with our dogs. Several times while reading the book, I had to put the book down, wipe away my tears, and take a break before I could continue reading on. For years I had listened to Mr. Levin ranting and raving on the radio like an angry mad man. I never knew this other side of him existed. This is an outstanding book that any dog lover will cherish. When our current dog passes away, I plan on doing what Mr. Levin did to immortalize Sprite. ( You'll have to read the book to find out what....and I don't mean writing a book. ) I never realized before how many people are affected by one persons pet. This is a great book on so many different levels.Thank you, Mr. Levin for this wonderful, insightful book.

We had to euthanize our beloved miniature schnauzer, Lucy, this morning. She was 14 and a half. She had diabetes, one blind eye and she was mostly deaf. I remembered that people took solace from Mark Levin's book, "Rescuing Sprite," but I couldn't imagine how it could help. I was going to read the reviews to try to understand just how it could help. Instead I just bought the kindle edition and immediately started reading it.It is beautifully written, and before long I was immersed in Mark's story of family and beloved and extraordinary pets. After a while I realized that I wasn't dwelling on the loss of Lucy, if for just a little while. It is helpful to know that others have had the same feelings I am now experiencing. I must now grapple with Life Without Lucy after the many years of loving our dear, sweet girl. It will require learning ways to duck the pain and to just put one foot in front of the other, focusing on moving forward, while honoring my memory of Lucy.

I recently lost one of my best friends; a black and white husky mix we called Panda. Her illness was sudden and devastating. In the space of a few hours I had to make the decision to put her down. Holding her in my arms while the drugs were administered was one of the most tormented things I have ever had to do. I felt disconnected afterwards wondering to myself why the pain and depression were so powerful. After having read Mark's book I realize that perhaps what I experienced is more common than I could have believed. My own emotions were captured here in Sprite's story. I had to put our Sheba to sleep on October 6, 2018. My little Sheba was a Pit bull full of love, who liked to have her tummy rubbed. Loved pizza crust, car rides & sit next to me on the sofa & watch tv. We discovered a tumor a week ago & then more tumors on a follow up visit. Sheba saw my 2 youngest son from elementary thru college. 11 years in our family, my sons friends loved her & all are devastated my her loss. She brought us thru some hard times in our lives. I thank God for her. Yesterday morning after putting her to sleep, I knew that the book that Mark wrote about his dog Sprite, would help me deal with deep pain. I read the book all day, cried. It helped to see that my family & I were not the only one, that felt anguish about putting our family member to sleep. Thank you Sprite, Mark & his family. Mark I’m so glad your wrote this book, it’s a healer for dog lovers who have lost their dog. I’m going to order the paperback & another kindle versions for my sons.

Mark R. Levin loves dogs, loves the loyalty and devotion given by dogs. He has adopted dogs, he and I came from essentially the same area of Phila.,PA. We are not talking about adopting pure-bred dogs, our dogs had the five letter title of "Mutts." As we came up in life, so did the dogs we adopted. They were strays, but survivors. They really appreciated love and security, once rescued. And, they returned love, devotion, and loyalty many times over....which is what these animals are all about. "Man's Best Friend" is the title they have well-earned.Get Mark's book, it was written with love and respect for a dog he adopted.

There were tears, chuckles, and out-loud laughter. The writing was splendid. Everybody who must put a pet down should read it. I still think about the emotions that accompany his dying pet. I have cats, but the emotions cross-over from dogs. I love levin's writing. He has written several books and I have read all of them. This is a heart-breaker. I wish I had known Sprite.

this was a well-written, romantic read. the development between Lucinda and Samantha was realistic and all of the supporting characters of the book added humor, context and dimension. the reader received a view into the life of the main characters and gained sufficient background to understand why each reacted in the manner captured. the love displayed between Lucinda and Samantha was unexpected, sensual and romantic (with heat too) and the overall plot unfolded in a way to keep the reader engaged. I really enjoyed this book thoroughly.

I got this to read because I received the second story in the series from NetGalley and even though I'm sure I could read it as a standalone, I prefer to read books in order.This is a nice, sweet romance. There not too much drama, and what there is is handled fairly well, without tedious repetition or overblown dramatics.I liked both characters, but even though they spent a lot of time together, I felt like my knowledge of them and their motivations was somewhat superficial. We're told things about Luce's past, but Samantha's backstory and family are more or less glossed over, even with her mother visiting, and the way Sam reveals her relationship with Luce to her mother seemed like a throw-away, when it could have added depth to the story if handled while her mother was there.Even so, the interactions between the characters are pretty charming, and for those who love sex scenes, there more than enough in here to keep you occupied (I actually though there were too many, but YMMV). I was pleased by the fact that there were multiple points where I thought the author would go the tried and true route but she deviated, which I appreciated.As the start of a series I found it interesting enough, and the hook of the dating agency lends itself to further books. It's a nice solid debut novel, and I look forward to reading more in the series.

***No Synopsis***This was a very lovely, romantic read with two very likable main characters. It's a les fic romance so obviously they are both drop dead gorgeous, but aside from that, each character had her own interesting idiosyncrasies and dialogue patterns which I appreciate. They also had interesting back stories. We get to hear some of Lucinda's and a little bit of Samantha's, but I definitely would have loved to hear more. So often writers offer up two women who sound and act the same or sound and act so different that you wonder what they see in each other. When Luce and Sam meet, they immediately click, and it seems that an easy friendship is about to bloom. Their attraction is palpable and I love how Ms. Riley has them always holding hands or touching in some way. The book is unusual in that it doesn't have the traditional break up about two thirds of the way in. It comes very late and it is resolved quickly. That would be my only complaint about the book. The circumstance that breaks them apart is quickly taken care of, but one of the women simply behaves in a manner that people really don't do in real life, but that is very characteristic in this genre as well. You never hear a quick, "I'm sorry. I behaved poorly. Do you forgive me?" because, well, where is the drama in that? I will say that Ms. Riley has a flair for the love scenes. The kissing alone is blush-worthy. I definitely recommend this book.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a fun read, kept my attention andhad a lot of heat. The characters of Lucinda, in charge of a highend PR firm, and Samantha, the Match Maker, had high-poweredjobs and were never successful in love, but they both met theirultimate match.

There's plenty of information about the plot here, so I will just say I loved this book. I have over 400 in this genre on my Kindle and I will say this is a new top 10-15. Why? Because all the reasons these books are my "escape" are found here: mature, feminine, intelligent professional women. Strong and assertive in their professional lives, willing to gradually reveal their vulnerability in their personal relationship. Moving emotions, very hot intimate scenes, and of course fierce love. Once in a while I read one of these books and think to myself, "okay, when these two get together it's going to be awesome." This book did that for me. Whatever she's doing, I hope the author quits her day job and focuses on writing because I'll be buying.

I was fortunate to receive a copy of this in return for an honest review from Netgalley. Samantha owns and operates a high end matching service while Lucinda is a big shot in a PR type firm. These two characters hit it off the first time they meet and feelings start to develop. I really enjoyed the relationship between these two and the development of them individually as well as together. They were believable and brought a lot to the table. The only part that I felt was a little implausible was the drama with Samantha's ex and his infidelity possibly ruining her career but I guess all romances need some drama. Overall I loved this book and I highly recommend it to other readers!!

Miss Match is a very sweet story about a couple trying to succeed in life and love. Who can't relate that? Quick read you can't put down and definitely worth your time.

I hate that the 2017 edition is the same book as the 2016 edition. It just differs on the title. They just "searched and replaced" the 2016 for the 2018.

Great basic book for a kid. If looking for details , this is not for u

We bought this book for our 8 and 9 year old grandchildren before we gave them their bunnies. They loved the book and learned quite a bit. It was also an easy read for them.

Cute book. This doesn't go very deep into rabbit care. I bought it before we got our rabbits. My daughter who is 7 is able to read it on her own and it taught her a few things she didn't know about rabbits.

Gift for 8 year old. Easy read for her to understand. Wish there wasabit more information.

Not quite as detailed as I would have liked. A bit too general for teaching my daughter (8yrs) how to care for her pet.

Book 4 of the Screw Crew picks up the story of Marcus and Willow which has been woven through the previous installments of this series. Marcus and Willow have an up and down relationship as reflected in the on again, off again romance. Marcus is shown to grow as a person from his college days, putting the feelings and future of Willow before his own wants and needs. Even though the story line has been revealed through the other novels, Ruthless still held its own. The story was emotional and heartfelt and I found myself wanting to finish it for closure on the issue raised previously. Marcus has his own baggage and was a bit of a jerk towards Willow when trying to deal with it, not wanting anyone to get close in case he loses them. When he did put his big boy pants on, he then had to confront the difficult direction his life was taking and tried to put Willow's emotional well being first, hurting her in the short term for what he hoped would help her in the long run.Similarly to Book 3, I found Ruthless a bit rushed in parts, but it was still an good read. This book could be read on its own but I think it would be helpful and more enjoyable to read the books from number one.

First, I wasn't sure how Michelle will put Marcus and Willow story after the pieces shown through previous books. I was worried a bit. But I shouldn't have. Everything just clicked.Second, I'm out of words to describe Marcus and Willow journey. It's full of assumption, misunderstanding, lots of fear... They made me cry, pissed me off... Well, they made me emotional and it was a bit of a mess. But from that mess came something so beautiful, that my cracked heart become whole again.

RUTHLESS is Book #4 in the ENEMIES TO LOVERS SERIES by Michelle Heard (formally Horst). All the books are able to be read as stand alone but better to start at the beginning with Book #1 HEARTLESS. This way you get a feel of the group of 5 men: Carter, Logan, Jaxson, Marcus, and Rhett and how they became lifetime friends. Each with their own past story. RUTHLESS is Marcus Reed and Willow Brooks's Story. They are more friends, to better friends, to will we ever be lovers!?!Marcus is the most broken by a tragic childhood. He has the four friends to replace his family. But it is his best-friend Jaxson that has been his rock throughout his life. If you read the previous stories that proceed this book, you will know about his illness. He met Willow when they were teenagers and I lost count of how many times he rejects her and keeps her in the friend zone. Even before his illness he pushed her away. I really felt frustrated with him, and his treatment of Willow. He was so afraid of losing another person that he loved, that he never thought it would be him that might be leaving. Poor Willow was hurt so many times, yet would return for more hurt. She never gave up completely. She might have backed down even with them being apart years, but came back swinging. I like HEA stories, but I just wanted this one to have come sooner.I will look forward to SHAMELESS the next book in the series. It will be Rhett Daniels & Evie Cole's story.

What can I say about Marcus. He stole my heart from book one. He loved the most and he went thru so much. He learned to live in almost dying. They all have their own stories to tell and each play apart of each other. This group of guys are so much more than friendship they truly are family. Another great read from Michelle. Once again my only complaint is that it's just to short...I so wish each book was longer gave more.

Marcus broke my heart with the way he treated Willow but I understood where he was coming from too!I laughed and I cried because it woas so heartbreaking to see them go threw it all but in the end the book was worth it!I can't wait to read the next book!I highly recommend this series!

This is the awesome fourth book in the Carolina Connections series. I am always ready to read the next story in the series as they are fun to read and always guaranteed to bring a smile to my face. I started from the first book and have now read all four. They can be read as standalones, however, I suggest reading them all in order. I found that it is a smoother experience and also the characters overlap from one book to the next. This book is all about Gavin and Emerson. Gavin is a man who has done a lot of growing over time. He is getting his life together and moving forward. His life may not be on the same path as before however he is determined to grab onto the opportunities that have been put before him and move on with his life. Part of this determination is spent on pursuing Emerson. Emerson is a woman who plans to go far in life. Those plans don’t include going out with Gavin. When he asks her out on a date she declines. He keeps asking. What does she do now? I loved the bantering back and forth between Gavin and Emerson. There was flirting and humor which made me laugh out loud. Emerson is a person who worries more than she should. She is attracted to Gavin, however, she is focused on her reputation in the law firm she works for and that Gavin is younger than her. I was of the opinion that she needed to start having more fun in her life and Gavin was just the person to have that fun with. The secondary characters who are friends and family of both Gavin and Emerson are also amazing. They are the kind of friends that would do anything for one another and if one needs help they do not hesitate to act. This author has created stories that you can get lost in with characters that are not easily forgotten. I can’t wait to read the next book! This story does include mature language and sexual content. This would make it a book for those 18 years of age or older.

The fourth book in the Carolina Connections series by Sylvie Stewart is The Game. The featured couple in this installment is Gavin and Emerson.Emerson is a 29 year old up and coming lawyer who has recently been tasked with becoming the guardian of her younger brother Jay. Emerson and Gavin meet when she signs her brother, who happens to be a phenomenal baseball player, up for lessons at the training complex where Gavin is a coach. Gavin is aware of Emerson right from the beginning and starts to chase her knowing that he wants to get acquainted with her better. Emerson has other plans she needs to focus on her job, her brother and not some “young” guy.I really love this series by Sylvie Stewart and she is quickly becoming one of my favorite new authors. While you can read this as a standalone it is so much better with all the backstory. I enjoyed this book and seeing all the old characters, I had some laughs at their expense that’s for sure. This installment had it all; there was laughter, happiness, anger as well as poignant moments. Although I do have to say that there were a few times that I wanted to tell Emerson to stop whining over Gavin being “young”, heck I know men that are in their forties that behave worse than Gavin was written to act, other than that it was a truly entertaining story. I look forward to seeing what Ms. Stewart has up her sleeves for the next book in this awesome series.

This book is so funny. It's true Sylvie Stewart style but she's at her best and brought her A game, pardon the pun. I was cracking up and the story is really sweet. It's the perfect blend of wild fun and sweet romance with tons of laughs along the way. I closed this book and thought, dang! Girl went and done it again! You go Sylvie! You go straight to your computer and write another! This series is awesome!!!

Spider monkeys? Now that is a first! If you don't know what I am talking about them read The Game, or better yet read the whole darn Carolina Connections series. All I can say is you won't regret it. Unless you don't like to laugh with your romance.

I think of all the books in this series this is the one I like the best[ the one I read first actually!]. Its Sweet and has much more of a story that the others in my opinion, quite an enjoyable read

This whole series was great and unlike most other series the further you got into it the better it was.I cannot wait for the next book to come out, I am absolutely getting it.I would HIGHLY recommend this book and series.

This is the second book I have read from this author and I must say I am growing to be a fan.Her style is exactly what I look for in rom com:Flirty, a bit of that nice slow burn and just basically good writing all wrapped up in a good story.Check check and check.

Very entertaining. Made me have a wide smile though the whole book. Loved the way Emmy expresses herself in her so called colourful language. And Gavin is a man on a girl mission. They are made for each other!
