This is the 3rd and final book in the trilogy about a Hopi teen and a younger white boy who travel back in time to when the Sinagua people lived in the cliffs of Walnut Canyon, AZ. The characters are well drawn and believable, the challenges they face very compelling, and the moral and ethical choices are things we can all relate to. Walker, the Hopi, having stayed back in an earlier time period in order to help his ancestors, in this volume leads his people from their ancestral home to a better place. Start with Walker of Time. The Native Americans tried to suppress publication of this book because it revealed so much of their culture, but that's exactly what makes it so fascinating! Great for all ages.

The first book in the Walker of Time Trilogy was probably the best book I have ever read, but it wasn't until last year that I discover there was a second and and a third one in the the series and I was in a frenzy to find the sequels! When I did find them, I was far from dissapointed! Walker's Journey Home rivals Walker of Time in plot and strength. The first book leaves you wondering what might have happened and this one tells you, leaving you completely satisfied! I have never seen such wonderful characters, so much detail and care go into a book until now. If you are a fan of adventure and excitement, please read this book. You won't be dissapointed!
I was given this book by a friend and decided recently to read it to my sons [...]. They love it and want me to read more and more each night, even though it's past bedtime. Has a lot of cultural references to Native Americans and is a fabulous read. The boys like it and it is fairly accessible to them. I love it and could continue reading it each time I put it down (afterall I can't read without the boys!). I would highly recommend!
